Almonte has been the setting chosen to deliver this award that recognizes the extensive professional and human career of those who have dedicated their lives to the study, promotion and dissemination of the different aspects of the vine and wine.
The Association of Wine Museums of Spain has delivered this morning the Enosofía prize 2022 a Luis Vicente Elias Pastor.
The award ceremony took place during the opening ceremony of the XVIII Symposium of the Association that is held in Almonte on the days 19 al 21 October, under the suggestive title "The Vineyard as oenological heritage in the surroundings of Doñana".
Museums Association of Spain Wine (A.M.V.E.) Enosofía awarded the prize to the person, institution or group of individuals whose creative work or research in the world of viticulture or viniculture, constitutes a significant contribution to the cultural heritage of wine.
The basic pillars of the award come together in the person of Luis Vicente Elías Pastor: Investigation, preservation and dissemination of Wine Culture, mainly through his vast contribution to the world of the cultural and anthropological heritage of the vine and wine. To his undeniable knowledge on the subject, adds his extensive experience in design, Advice and start-up of different Museums and Wine Interpretation Centers throughout Spain, as well as his participation as a teacher in numerous study programs that have viticulture and wine tourism as the common thread.
It would be impossible to extract here his multiple studies, publications and articles, about this exciting world... in addition, Luis Vicente Elías was one of the main promoters of the AMVE, of which he has been secretary, who has always had his advice and good work.
The award was granted in 2017 Josep Roca El Celler de Can Roca, in 2018 Vega Sicilia, and in 2019 the Vivanco Foundation.
the A.M.V.E. It aims to promote the meeting, cooperation and study of museums and theme centers associated Wine, for promotion, dissemination and defense of common interests and activities, as well as promoting and spreading wine culture in general and of each wine region in particular.
Founded in 2005, brings together the bulk of the Museums Wine Spain, whose work and dedication make it possible to keep alive an important part of our historical and cultural heritage.
The objectives of the Museums Association of Spain Wine, based on the European Charter signed in Paris Tourism Year 2006 have in principle contribute to safeguarding, conservation, and dissemination of wine culture in all its manifestations through its relationship with the tangible and intangible heritage collaborating in the organization and dissemination of those events that are related to consider these principles, as annual symposia where quality and diversity of the topics discussed and conclusions are an obligatory reference in the world of wine culture.
